THE GOOD
These pants are made of a nice mid-weight softshell material that is smooth and stretchy. They are tough and technical, great for long days in the mountains. So far they have held up to daily beatings in the Tetons and still look great. The pockets are pretty standard for softshell pants: two hand pockets and a "topo" pocket on the thigh. I love that they come in a color other than black (mine are light grey).
THE BAD
The legs have expansion zips on the bottom, which are nice, but I wish they were bigger so I could fit my ski boots under them more easily. I don't like the bunched up elastic on the waistband because it is uncomfortable under a pack. They run very small; I normally wear a small in just about everything but needed a medium in these (and in all Marmot clothing, in fact). They fit ok, but I wouldn't call them "flattering"; they are also a little short for me (I'm about 5'4").
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Marmot Scree pants are good technical softshell pants best used for big days in the mountains or spring ski tours. They're tough, durable, and very stretchy, but they could use some minor improvements.
