Well this winter never stops to amaze. We have been pounded this week and the goods have been good! Here are a couple pics that don't even begin to describe how deep it has been. I am working on some video that will be up on Monday so stay tuned.
Just a side note: With all the negative vibes these days up on the pass, I had a remarkably positive experience this weekend. We had a late start and for some reason thought we would try to park up top. We got there around 10:00am and found no parking spots available. We were the only car in line so we though we would wait and see if any spots opened up. As we idled, a couple other cars arrived also looking for a spot. After only 13 minutes one opened up that was rightfully ours, as we had been there the longest.
However there was a car waiting right by the free spot and we thought for sure there would be some confrontation. But instead the guy recognized the spot was ours and no problems!! Same situation on the boot packs and skin trails, everyone moved over with no attitude and the vibe was good and every one was psyched with the conditions.
Hopefully this is a good sign of more to come, if we can all just be civil with each other we can erase the stain that has made the pass so infamous these days.
Have fun and enjoy the powder!

What a weekend. Breaking trail in above the knee. Waist to chest deep in the trees. Best of all. Things do appear to be getting more laid back on the pass. Finally, as if there isn't enough to go around. Closing on 400in.
