THE GOODLightweight - The down sweater weighs a mere 11.3oz, and is less bulky than any other down jacket that I have owned (or seen).
Packable - The down sweater compresses into an internal mesh pocket, resulting in a bundle that is midway between the size of a softball and a children's soccer ball.
Warm - This is on of the warmest jackets that I own, and I find myself wearing it on a daily basis for the cold morning trek to school. The jacket is not as windproof as advertised for an outer layer. Worn as a midlayer under a good hardshell, or with a base layer, you can confidently give ol' mother nature the one finger salute and say "bring it on, baby. Bring it on."
Fit - The fit is fabulous, sleek and feminine. It's about time someone made a down jacket that doesn't make you look like the Michelin Man. The sleeves are longer than usual, so you may want to consider a size down. I get compliments on the fit and color (Gecko Green) everytime I wear it in public.
THE BADDurability - The outer fabric is pretty light, and a number of the feathers seem to be escaping. That said, I don't seem to be losing more feathers than with my other down jackets. Also, a beefier zipper would be nice.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOWThe Patagonia Down Sweater is my favorite jacket. It is sleek, feminine, and warm without being bulky. It stashes easily in a pack, and has a great color.
