These skis are so awesome! I tried them out at a demo day and thought that they were great. Too bad to hear about durability issues...
It's crazy how stiff these skis are for being so light weight!
The ski is light and the performance is worth the weight, BUT durability and customer service are an issue. I boought Goode 95's in Jan. '08. A dynafit toe piece pulled in March '08. I sent them back to Goode. Goode remounted the binding and returned them. The mount looked bad. I e-mailed them a picture of the mount, they were sent back again unskied. The same toe piece pulled in Jan. 09. They replaced only one ski instead of the pair. I can't ski them with confidence very far into the backcountry.
These skis are awesome, crud, powder especially. Great all round ski and lightest of the light for touring and backcountry. I've skied them for 2 seasons and am an aggressive skier. If your having problems with the top sheet call Goode - that's what warranty is for. As for breaking that was 3-4 years ago - Goode is now adding a lot more material - they are a bit heavier but don't break unless you run over them on purpose with your truck. Glue the bindings to the ski and they don't pull. This is a thinkn ski and some people are clued out enough to leave on the plastic plate that shows the midsole mount point. Take it OFF before mounting. Best ski I've owned yet!
